What does a PAPR warranty usually cover?
One year from purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover damage from misuse, accidents or modifications, and a claim needs proof of purchase. That is the Breathie Thingy's cover and it is ordinary for the category.
Worth knowing what a warranty is and is not before you need it.
Covered: something that was wrong with the unit when it left the factory and showed up in normal use. A blower that fails, a switch that stops working, a battery that will not hold charge from the start.
Not covered: dropping it, running it over, taking it apart and reassembling it differently. Physical damage is physical damage, and no manufacturer in this category covers it.
One honest note about our own record rather than the policy. There have been occasions where a unit failed and a whole replacement was posted out free of charge. That is what happened; it is not a promise about what will always happen, and saying so plainly seems better than implying an unlimited guarantee nobody has written down.
Keep your receipt. Every warranty in this category asks for proof of purchase, and the people who struggle to claim are almost always the ones who cannot produce one.
