What comes in the box, and what will I need to buy?

Powered respirators are one of those products where the sticker price and the price are different numbers, so here is the whole list.
You get the unit — blower, battery, charger, hood and the pleated P3 filter — and at the founder price of $499 for the first 30 units of a batch, a spare filter kit is included. After the first 30 the price is $589.
The two pre-filters inside the blower, the steel mesh and the activated carbon, are already fitted. You do not order those separately and most owners never realise they are in there.
What you will eventually buy: a filter at $15, or the full filter kit at $22.99. A replacement visor is $14.99, which is the part people scratch. A spare battery is $65 and a charger is $25.
A spare battery is the one genuinely worth considering up front if you work full days, because it is removable and charges while you carry on wearing the other one. Everything else can wait until you need it.
